QMotion Provides Preview of New Shading System Solutions at CEDIA 2018

QMotion, a brand of Legrand, will be providing visitors at CEDIA 2018 a sneak peek of upcoming products that extend the capabilities of its award-winning shading systems. New QMotion solutions that will be introduced at the show include the Qbasic+ and Teleshade with Qadvanced Intelligent System (QIS). In addition, QMotion with Vantage Controls, will display how integrated shading and lighting systems provide innovative natural and artificial light control for Human Centric Lighting strategies.

“We are always working with our customers to understand their pain points and find solutions that improve the installation process and help with their businesses,” said Ben Kutell as Product Manager at Legrand Shading Systems. “The solutions we are previewing highlight our approach in designing with form and function in mind for beautiful shading control and energy efficiency.”

QMotion products that will be on display at CEDIA include:

Qbasic+ helps homeowners easily, quickly, and affordably upgrade their Qbasic+ manual counterbalanced shades to Qbasic+ counterbalanced motorized shades without requiring a full reinstallation of a whole new shade.

The solution solves multiple pain points homeowners and residential integrators face – from budget constraints to the ability to upgrade shades from manual to motorized and simplifying shade installation. Qbasic+ is designed to allow for onsite upgrades using the same brackets, tube, and fabric roll. It is also designed with the same elegant aesthetic of the Qadvanced motorized shades so homes with a mix of manual and motorized shades will have the same finish.

In addition, Qbasic+ can be upgraded to the QIS hardwired system or homeowners can choose a battery solution for the motorized shade – removing the cumbersome wiring process.

Qbasic+ also fits in mixed-use development applications and rental properties by providing manual shades before a homeowner moves in with the knowledge that a simple upgrade is available.

The Teleshade with QIS is a patent-pending cassette shade system that provides homeowners an opportunity to capitalize on the energy savings and decorative benefits of automated shading systems. The system ships as a fully assembled unit and features a unique compression bracketing and cassette configuration offering installers simple installation and time savings. The single cassette system will be available in single or dual motorized (using patented QIS hardwired) roller shades.

To be displayed for the first time at the expo, QMotion’s decorative fabric collection features 10 new fabric collections, more than 50 different fabrics with fresh prints and crafted details that can enhance form and function of QMotion shades.
