Brian Tallmadge, assistant chief of environmental management at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, S.C., was recognized with a Facility Cleaning Decisions "Managers of Distinction" award, according to an article on the CleanLink website.
When it comes to introducing technology into the department, Tallmadge doesn’t want to keep up with the Joneses. He wants to be the Joneses, the article said.
“We are the frontline in caring for veterans and their families, and we are blessed to have the budget to afford technologies that help us do that,” he said.
Tallmadge has purchased ultraviolet disinfection units, new floor equipment that streamlines cleaning/finishing, and restroom equipment that helps with deep cleaning.
