Atlanta’s Kendeda Fund grant supports a Georgia hospital’s efficiency efforts


Atlanta’s Kendeda Fund grant supports a Georgia hospital’s efficiency efforts with a green revolving fund, an increasingly popular strategy, according to an article on the Inside Philanthropy website. 

In the environmental philanthropy arena, green revolving funds are becoming especially popular with schools and hospitals. 

Kendeda gave $850,000 to Grady Memorial Hospital, the largest safety net hospital in Georgia, by seeding a green revolving fund. 

The health system will match the donation and use the funds to invest in energy efficiency, water conservation and renewables. First up is replacing light fixtures.
