Rinnai Leads Industry With Comprehensive BIM Offering for Architects, Engineers and Contractors

Rinnai Corporation, manufacturer of the number-one selling brand of tankless gas water heaters in North America, today announced a strategic partnership with BIMsmith, a leading cloud-based design tool that allows architects, engineers and designers to create system family components for the building design software application, Autodesk Revit.

To kick off the partnership, Rinnai has released a comprehensive library of more than 100 data-rich models of its leading tankless water heaters, rack systems, boilers and accessories. These models can now be used by architects and building designers as they concept new building designs to specify Rinnai products – effectively keeping the brand top-of-mind during this crucial phase of project development.

“Rinnai’s vision is to enhance lives by changing the way water is heated,” said Dale Schmitz, Marketing Manager at Rinnai America Corporation. “By providing BIM data that allows building designers to integrate Rinnai products into their projects, this vision can begin to take shape earlier in the process than ever before.”

Each 3D model contains intelligent product data that offers information on multiple phases of a building’s life cycle, from design to construction to maintenance, and every model can be integrated directly into the user’s Revit building designs. This speeds up the process and gives architects and building designers a fast and reliable way to leverage Rinnai’s products for their building designs.

“The Rinnai name carries with it an assurance of performance and durability that makes their products a favorite for architects, engineers and contractors,” said Benjamin Glunz, CEO of BIMsmith. “We are excited to welcome Rinnai to the BIMsmith platform.”
