The Staten Island, N.Y., Buildings Department found safety violations while investigating an accident where a worker was injured while building an above-ground power plant for the Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze, according to an article on the SIlive website.
The post-Hurricane Sandy project is intended to keep power on at the hospital during a natural disaster.
As a result of the investigation, the Buildings Department issued a full stop-work order for the project.
The hospital also has an active permit to install telecommunications antennas, GPS antennas and small cell phone equipment cabinets on the roof.
