Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System is now Salinas Valley Health. This institution, which has served the Monterey County community for 70 years, is launching a rebranding with a name change and different look. The look and feel of Salinas Valley Health came to fruition after input and engagement with community and staff.
The name Salinas Valley Health is a simplification of the former identity, retains the geographic significance of the agricultural region and the single word Health represents clinical expertise and community-based health initiatives.
The new logo is also a simplification and modernization of the legacy logo. The center of the logo represents a coming together in the pursuit of optimal health by patients, families, community and Salinas Valley Health. The four arms of the symbol combine to create a plus sign, or cross – an iconic emblem for health. All points of the arms stretch outward, reflective of community outreach while the upper arms reflect growth, and lower arms symbolize the power of deep roots.
