Energy efficiency is also critical in choosing the best system

The healthcare facility HVAc system selection process is not straightforward, because of the higher demand, required thermal conditions, codes regarding reliability and hygiene and the need to reduce energy consumption while maintaining a safe environment.

The first step in the process should be meeting with the stakeholders to discuss the facility’s goals.

Next, the program requirements should be reviewed with the architect and medical staff, including the temperature and humidity conditions throughout the building.
