Senscio Systems Appoints Healthcare Veteran Gary Janko to Chief Operating Officer

Senscio Systems, Inc. today announced the appointment of Gary M. Janko, MPA, to Chief Operating Officer.  Janko will be responsible for overall operations including the management of service delivery, compliance, program operations, strategic initiatives, and financial oversight of the company.

"Gary brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in medical practice and financial management from both the provider and payer sectors that will be of significant benefit to our customers," said Piali De, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO, Senscio Systems. "We are thrilled to have him on board."

Janko's career spans 35 years, including the launch of Bay State Health Care as its president and chief operating officer where he pioneered the first IPA-type HMO model that changed the health insurance landscape in New England. Mr. Janko built the Baystate's network to 3,800 physicians and grew annual revenue to $220 million. Subsequent to Bay State he established Access Partners, Inc., a national health care management, billing, systems, and consulting and turnaround firm.  Mr. Janko joins Senscio after ten years as COO at a national chronic pain management network.

A nationally recognized medical practice management speaker and contributing writer for leading healthcare journals, Janko has also served as President of the New Hampshire chapter of Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and Chair of the Physician Practice Management Committee of the MA-RI Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). He holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and earned Master in Public Administration from Sloan Institute within the Graduate School of Business at Cornell University.

"I look forward to working with the Senscio team on rolling out their digital therapeutics solution across the U.S. healthcare market," said Gary Janko, Chief Operating Officer, Senscio Systems. "There is truly nothing like Ibis™ on the market or in the pipeline today for chronic care management that provides both a comprehensive and scalable solution which supports patients, caregivers and providers."

Senscio's Ibis solution addresses a host of therapeutic areas in the management of chronic diseases including diabetes, pulmonary disease (COPD), heart disease (CHF), hypertension, depression, cognitive disabilities, pneumonia, and other chronic illnesses. In addition, Ibis proves highly valuable in the management of palliative care and eldercare populations. Medicaid and Medicare Programs, Accountable Care Organizations (ACO), and Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH) are rapidly adopting Senscio Health's digital therapeutics care model because it integrates into a seamless and efficient population health management system and provides a value-based approach designed around patient-centric care.
