Servicon Systems appoints Susan Matt as director of operations healthcare, names Edwin Stephenson director of operations aerospace

Servicon Systems Inc., a leading provider of sustainable maintenance services for aerospace, military, commercial, public and institutional facilities, has named Susan Matt Director of Operations Healthcare Division and Edwin Stephenson Director of Operations Aerospace Division. Both executives are industry veterans, and their appointments represent promotions of two longtime members of Servicon’s management team.

“Many of our valued clients represent industries that continue to evolve rapidly, and their stringent needs for specialized services can change with time,” said Servicon President and CEO Laurie Sewell. “We are very happy that two great team leaders, Susan and Edwin, are taking on greater responsibilities in serving healthcare and aerospace clients, and will deepen the excellent relationships they have already developed with several of our loyal customers.“

As the company expands, Ms. Matt and Mr. Stephenson are well positioned to understand and meet the specific needs of Servicon’s new clients, many of them coming from technology-intensive industries, such as healthcare and aerospace, that require cleanrooms and ultra-healthy environments.

Susan Matt has served most recently as Servicon’s director of environmental services, following her promotion from operations manager. With 20 years of experience in operations, business development, and environmental services in the custodial industry, she has managed teams of more than 650 employees as well as projects, vendor relationships, adherence to departmental budgets, strategic planning and capital expenditures. Ms. Matt offers special expertise in support services and environments of care, such as housekeeping, linen and laundry processing, and safe disposal of medical waste. Ms. Matt’s eight years with Servicon have also earned recognition for her dynamic and progressive style of communication, which facilitates and fosters excellent working relationships within organizations and customers.

Edwin Stephenson rose through the ranks in his successful, 29-year career with Servicon, beginning with the oversight of the daily custodial activities of a five-member crew. As a supervisor, he provided training and leadership for a 12-member staff, delegated work responsibilities, and ensured impeccable customer service. Promoted to area supervisor, he was responsible for multiple commercial and aerospace accounts, and was soon appointed district manager, managing all company operations for Servicon’s major aerospace accounts. Mr. Stephenson is professionally certified in critical control environments and cleanroom protocols. Throughout his career, he has been an outstanding coach and mentor, helping to train and develop highly qualified project managers and top-performing supervisors. He has also been key in defining Servicon’ s role as an industry leader in sustainability and compliance. He will continue to contribute to employee retention and business growth by ensuring that Servicon continues to serve the aerospace industry with unique dedication and top quality customer service.
