Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend, Vt., will install solar panel as part of its energy efficiency efforts, according to an article on the Daily Journal website.
Grace Cottage made an agreement last year with the Green Lantern Group to be a part of its net-metered project. The group is building a 500-kilowatt solar panel in Pittsford and the hospital will buy power from the group at a discounted rate for the next two decades.
The hospital also plans to install a new roof with better insulation.
Grace Cottage's facilities director said the hospital already has seen 10 percent savings on electricity due to upgrades.
