Sustainable Materials, LLC introduces Cork Bricks, a cork wall décor product, to the U.S. market

Sustainable Materials, LLC is introducing Cork Bricks to the United States. A wall décor innovation, Corks Bricks are three-dimensional pieces of the finest natural, renewable cork bark precision cut in three different sizes and variations in thickness. Offering a surprising and sophisticated combination of time-honored style and contemporary design, Cork Bricks complement both casual and cosmopolitan décor. Imported from Portugal, Cork Bricks are pre-finished, immersed in a selection of six natural and neutral colors.

“Envision interior walls with the appeal of traditional exposed brick in a three-dimensional design, but with a refined texture and warmer feeling,” said Pete Nichols, president, Sustainable Materials, LLC. “Cork Bricks bring that sophisticated yet inviting sense of style to walls and hallways in commercial, office, hospitality, and residential interiors.”

Cork Bricks are manufactured in sustainably harvested, rapidly renewable cork, a premium sustainable material for exceptional interior design and lifestyle products. Cork Bricks are part of the Muratto Cork Wall Design Collection. Available in the U.S. exclusively from Sustainable Materials, LLC, Muratto represents the fulfillment of more than 20 years of European design, manufacturing and refinement of fashion-forward, interior finished products skillfully crafted in natural cork.

Cork Bricks are the second product in the Muratto Wall Design Collection to be introduced to the U.S. this year by Sustainable Materials. In January 2015, Organic Blocks made their debut at NY NOW, the Market for Home and Lifestyle. The New York Metro Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) selected the product as the winner in the wall art category in the Best of the Best competition. In June 2015, Organic Blocks earned a Merit Award from BUILDINGS magazine in the Product Innovation Awards program. Judged at NeoCon, the commercial interior industry’s premier annual event, these awards showcase an elite group of product offerings selected for their inventive qualities that support the efficiency and sustainability of commercial buildings.
