American Industrial Systems Inc. (AIS) has introduced a new all-in-one touchscreen panel PC that can be used as a self-serve kiosk in healthcare environments such as doctor’s offices, clinics and hospitals.

The kiosks may have multiple applications, including as a way for patients to self-register for appointments, or enter data into electronic health records.

The 18.5 inch panel PC is a fully-integrated touchscreen with Power over Ethernet (PoE), an Intel® Atom™ Dual Core Processor N2600 1.60 GHz and Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT or PCAP), which enables popular user actions such as pan, zoom and rotate.

The computer’s optional features include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, camera, smart card reader, barcode reader and RFID reader.
