Birch Hill hospital in Rochdale, U.K. plans an investigation after a patient in the mental health unit climbed onto the roof, according to an article on the Manchester Evening News.
The man, dressed in grey jogging pants and a grey hooded sweatshirt, was seen walking along the sloped roof with his hands in his pockets.
The John Elliott unit houses a community-based team of mental health nurses and social workers providing care for young people experiencing first episode psychosis.
“Our primary concern was ensuring the safety of this patient and the wellbeing of other patients on the unit. All efforts were focused on achieving that," the hospital said.
