Unions claim victory in Mayo food fight

SEIU Healthcare Minnesota announces a tentative contract agreement with Morrison Healthcare


Three unions are claiming victory as Mayo Clinic's food service fight as it looks like it's heading for a resolution, according to an article on the Post-Crescent website.

SEIU Healthcare Minnesota announced a tentative contract agreement with Morrison Healthcare, which has assumed full control of Mayo's food service department.

Union voting begin last week at Mayo campuses in Rochester, Albert Lea, Faribault, Mankato and Fairmont.

The agreement comes after Mayo outsourced its food service department after an internal study found patient satisfaction scores were lagging.
