VOLA's Round Series Showerhead honored with GOOD DESIGN Award

By Healthcare Facilities Today

RONKONKOMA, NY — Hastings Tile & Bath, the premier distributor and importer of luxury bath and tile products for the kitchen and bath industry, announced today that VOLA’s Round Series Showerhead, imported and distributed exclusively in North America through Hastings Tile & Bath, is the recipient of the prestigious GOOD DESIGN™ Award for Bath and Accessories in 2013. The GOOD DESIGN™ Award is presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. This award is bestowed upon the world’s leading designers and acknowledges manufacturers for creativity, modernization, advancement and outstanding products that stretch the boundaries of average design.

“We are thrilled on VOLA’s behalf to know that they’ve received another prestigious GOOD DESIGN™ award, this time for their Round Series Showerhead,” said Bob Gifford, director of bath products for Hastings Tile & Bath. “VOLA’s designers continue to create stylish and innovative products and receiving this award confirms their reputation as leaders in the design and production of cutting-edge architectural products.”

VOLA Round Series Showerhead

The new Round Series Showerhead is a natural extension of the VOLA range of faucets and fixtures. It means a luxury bathroom can now be completely VOLA, combining chosen elements from the award-winning Round Series. The design of the Round Series Showerhead clearly echoes the VOLA aesthetic. Hearkening back to Arne Jacobsen’s 1971 Banker’s clock, designed for the Danish National Bank, the Round Showerhead plays with circular geometries. Like all VOLA products, it keeps its technical parts subtly hidden from view. Every product in the Round Series takes its proportions from the classic Arne Jacobsen tap specially designed for VOLA more than 40 years ago. The Round Series Showerhead is effortlessly elegant and classically VOLA.
