Valspar introduces WeatherXL coil coating system

MINNEAPOLIS – Users of WeatherX, the silicone-modified polyester (SMP) paint manufactured by global coatings leader Valspar, have come to know it for its durability and rock-solid reliability. Now, Valspar has announced WeatherXL, the next generation of WeatherX that expands on the product’s many benefits that make it customers’ first choice for weather resistance. WeatherXL delivers formula enhancements that make it even more weather resistant and provides more flexibility that improves the application process.

With the best SMP resistance to chalking and fading, WeatherXL keeps designs stunning year after year, providing strong color and gloss retention. Depending on application conditions, improved application properties can contribute to faster line speeds, quicker curing and less edge blistering. The product is formulated with an enhanced silicone polyester resin system to deliver maximum hardness, making it ideal for commercial and residential metal roofing, agricultural and industrial buildings, and metal wall panels. The product is available in a wide palette of colors, including Solar Reflective (SR) formulations to help meet Energy Star and LEED qualifications.

In addition to its enhanced formula, WeatherXL also comes with Valspar’s unequalled service and support, offering customers unmatched lead times and the best technical support in the industry. Valspar will debut WeatherXL at METALCON International, October 1-3 in Atlanta, Ga., at booth number 1001 in the Georgia World Congress Center.
