Viking Introduces New 5.6 K-factor Quick Response Flush Pendent Sprinkler


The Viking Corporation, a global leader in fire protection and life safety systems, announces the availability of a new 5.6 K-factor Quick Response Flush Pendent Sprinkler.  The new Model VK478 is cULus Listed for Light Hazard and Ordinary Hazard Group 1 and 2 occupancies, making it an attractive option for applications including apartments, schools, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, retail stores, churches, and office buildings.

The new VK478 flush pendent sprinkler is offered in two standard white finishes (standard painted white and RAL9010 white) and is available in 165°F (74°C) and 205°F (96°C) temperature ratings.  The sprinkler features an aesthetically pleasing two-piece sprinkler and ceiling ring design that provides up to 5/8” (16 mm) of vertical adjustment.  The sprinkler’s decorative ceiling ring is included with the sprinkler and is shipped standard with the product.  

In addition to the new VK478, Viking offers flush-style designs in a residential sprinkler (Model VK476) and a dry barrel sprinkler (Model VK482).  Additional information on Viking’s full line of fire protection products can be found online at www.vikinggroupinc.com/products.
