Waltonwood Lake Boone Adds Resident Care Manager to Its Management Team

Waltonwood Lake Boone, a family-owned senior living community, is pleased to announce Ellen Jones as resident care manager. She brings more than 30 years of senior living experience to the community. As resident care manager at Waltonwood Lake Boone, Jones will be responsible for the well-being of all residents and ensuring the team meets each resident’s daily needs. As a registered nurse, she will also assist with training CNAs and medical technicians, as well as coordinating residents travel to and from doctors’ appointments, medication management and maintaining their diet. Jones previously worked as a corporate nurse and traveled between three states offering her services to different senior living communities. Jones says residents can expect an experienced manager who will provide the best service, care and hospitality for all residents.

“I love working with seniors and can’t wait to meet all the residents of Waltonwood Lake Boone,” said Jones. “My career in senior living spans more than three decades, and I’ve worked in acute care, intensive care, rehabilitation and even conducted a published investigational drug research study. At Lake Boone, I will primarily work with assisted living and memory care residents, but will assist with independent living residents if they need it. In my last position, I experienced the lifestyle in a Waltonwood community, and I will deliver the same quality care, extraordinary service and hospitality expected in our community. Using holistic nursing, which looks at each resident’s needs – physical, psychosocial and spiritual – will help me provide optimum health for our seniors. I believe crossing paths with a Waltonwood community in the past was all part of a master plan that led me to Lake Boone, and I am looking forward to my future with this company.”

The community is currently under construction and expected to open this year. It will have 121 independent living apartments, 39 assisted living apartments and 23 memory care apartments. Jones joins a passionate and experienced management team. Executive Director Allison O’Shea will oversee Jones’ day-to-day role.

“Ellen shares a deep passion for providing seniors with a greater quality of life, and that’s exactly what we were looking for with this position at Lake Boone,” said O’Shea. “She is dedicated to serving seniors, and I know she will complement our management team. At Waltonwood Lake Boone, we pride ourselves in redefining senior living, and I believe Ellen will help take our community to the next level. As we approach our grand opening, I am confident that the management team we have in place will ensure residents receive high-quality care in a safe and secure environment.”
