Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital in Racine, Wis., produces and broadcasts game shows for patients from a makeshift TV studio in its lower level, according to an article on the Racine Journal Times website.
Patients can play along with the shows from their beds by tuning in to the internal channel and using worksheets.
The studio and the broadcasts are maintained and staffed by volunteers, the article said.
The program was designed to offer a diversion to patients and visitors, and has received positive patient feedback, according to Cindy Clemens, director of volunteer services. Participants can win small prizes
