Defending against ransomware attacks

Cyber hygiene is thinking before you click, not surfing the internet for personal reasons like going to Google or Facebook or checking your Twitter feed from a workstation computer, according to ICIT Co-founder and Senior Fellow James Scott.

Healthcare organizations should also have good backups that have been tested and be able to restore processes. Organizations should not pay the ransom because it encourages the criminals to continue their attacks.
