3-D mapping allows seniors to explore community

Residents and visitors can use an app to take virtual tours of the community

A continuing care retirement community in Fort Myers, Fla., has launched an interactive 3-D map and virtual tour software to help residents explore its campus, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.

The map details Shell Point’s five neighborhoods, healthcare facilities and other amenities through virtual reality 360-degree panoramic images.

The tool displays real-life view from various campus locations.

“Our residents are getting more savvy with technology and they will certainly appreciate a tool that guides them from location to location on our campus,” a Shell Point representative said.
