Providence Health & Services Alaska is the winner of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology's (APIC) seventh annual Film Festival competition, according to an article on the Infection Control Today website.
The video, “Look at Me Hand Hygiene,” encourages proper handwashing techniques for hospital staff and visitors.
The video stresses the importance of thorough and consistent hand washing, outlining “wet, lather, scrub, rinse, dry” (W.L.S.R.D.) as the basic steps for hand hygiene and infection prevention.
Many of the other Film Festival submissions used heartwarming themes, humor and music to underscore their messages, the article said.
