Adena Health announced it has completed its acquisition of Fairfield Medical Center, officially welcoming the hospital, its patients, providers, caregivers and communities. As part of the acquisition, Fairfield Medical Center will now be known as Adena Fairfield Medical Center, marking a new chapter for the hospital.??  

Adena Fairfield Medical Center will continue providing care to the patients and communities it has served, while the organizations work together to support a smooth transition for patients and staff, with a focus on continuity of care and minimizing disruption.  

The organizations began working toward this agreement earlier this year after announcing a letter of intent on June 1, 2026. Since then, their boards, leadership teams, providers and staff have worked collaboratively through the due diligence process to reach this milestone.?
