The University of Maryland Medical Center’s top executive apologized after security guards left a discharged patient on the street in just a hospital gown and socks, according to an article on The Baltimore Sun website.
“We take full responsibility for this failure,” Dr. Mohan Suntha said during a news conference.
The hospital system is investigating the incident and is talking to everyone who came into contact with the woman, including guards, nurses and doctors.
A video on Facebook showed security guards leaving a disoriented woman on the street when the temperature was in the 30s.
