Baltimore hospital apologizes after security guards leave discharged patient on street in hospital gown

Hospital system is talking to everyone who came into contact with the woman

The University of Maryland Medical Center’s top executive apologized after security guards left a discharged patient on the street in just a hospital gown and socks, according to an article on The Baltimore Sun website.

“We take full responsibility for this failure,” Dr. Mohan Suntha said during a news conference.

The hospital system is investigating the incident and is talking to everyone who came into contact with the woman, including guards, nurses and doctors.

A video on Facebook showed security guards leaving a disoriented woman on the street when the temperature was in the 30s.
