Montana’s Billings Clinic's hospital and emergency department are above capacity and are going to unusual measures to keep up with demand, according to an article on the Billings Gazette website.
Patient beds have been set up in a conference room and in hallways in the emergency department to handle the overflow.
The hospital's chief medical officer said type 2 trauma centers around the state are experiencing similar situations.
Billings Clinic is at more than 110 percent capacity. The ED has 36 formal beds, as well as additional triage rooms and other spaces for patients.
