Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center was expected to be without running water for a week

The Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center in California was without running water for a week after a water main break, according to an article on the KTLA website.

The hospital had its patients transferred to other facilities after several days.

Crews discovered a leak at the medical center's main water line during ongoing maintenance and upgrades.

The hospital had existing management plans to operate for 72 to 96 hours in case of an emergency, and it did so after the discovery of the leak.
