Some healthcare facilities struggle with the amount of data produced by wearables, sensors, remote monitors and other medical devices.
Forty-two percent of participants in a recent poll said that the Internet of Things produces too much data to analyze efficiently, the article said.
Uncertain prospects for financial return on analytics, coupled with worries over data security are also contributing to a reluctance to grow the IoT.
