Discolored water stalls operations

Dozens of operations at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, Scotland, postponed due to a problem with the water supply

Dozens of operations at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, Scotland, were postponed due to a problem with the water supply, according to an article on the Herald Scotland website.

Discolored water was noticed coming from the healthcare facility's taps. It was thought to be caused by a build-up of sediment in the hospital water tanks.

Scottish Water worked with the facility to flush the hospital's systems.

The health board said staff used bottled water, hygiene wipes and gel to maintain infection control measures.
