Eaton's lighting products featured on NextGen Home TV 'First to the Future Home' web series hosted by Ty Pennington

Power management company Eaton, a 2015 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year and producer of the first ENERGY STAR®-certified light-emitting diode (LED) downlight (2009), is featured on the new online web series "First to the Future Home," showcasing what it takes to make a home energy efficient, weather and storm resistant, healthy and intelligent. Host of the NGHTV web series, Ty Pennington, reveals the “First to the Future Home” this spring. More than 200 of Eaton’s Halo® light-emitting diodes (LED) lighting solutions are utilized throughout the interior and exterior coves of the home. Eaton’s wiring devices, generators and other products are also incorporated into the project.

“First to the Future Home is an ideal showcase for Eaton’s innovative, energy-efficient residential products and solutions,” said Mark Eubanks, president, Eaton’s Lighting Division. “Viewers will learn how LED lighting and other innovative electrical solutions enhance the design and construction of new homes, and how they can result in dramatic cost savings and environmental benefits.”

As the familiar face of several popular home renovation and design television shows, Pennington’s new webisodes cover the design, build and reveal of a truly next generation home. Eaton’s products featured in the home include Halo RL and ML Series of LED downlights, electrical vehicle charging stations, safety and disconnect switches, surge protectors and a variety of receptacles.

The home also features Eaton’s Aspire RF wireless controls, a customizable, energy-saving solution. The easy-to-use radio frequency-based control system includes one-touch controllers and a wide range of wiring devices, providing the capability to create an integrated control network for the home.
