Enlighted CEO Joe Costello to keynote IoT forum at LIGHTFAIR International 2016

Enlighted, Inc., the leading provider of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for commercial buildings, will play a key role launching LIGHTFAIR® International's first IoT & Smart Lighting Forum, a new one-day series designed to explore the impact of IoT and how it relates to smart lighting. Enlighted CEO and industry veteran Joe Costello will open the forum with a keynote at 8 a.m. on Wed., April 27 at the San Diego Convention Center Room 25ABC (Upper Level).

Costello will address why and how the lighting industry must seize the opportunity now and usher in IoT for commercial buildings. "The IoT revolution will be as big as the Internet revolution," said Costello. "Eventually every product will be built to connect. Lighting is a key example of this. Smart sensors installed in commercial lighting are changing building management as we know it."

"Sensors enable building owners, managers, lighting designers, engineers and architects to make strategic decisions rooted in data they never had access to before. They can now make smart decisions on lighting, HVAC, space management, asset management and much more. This provides the lighting industry a unique, holistic IoT building solution - enabling businesses to operate more effectively, efficiently and environmentally."

Costello is the epitome of an innovation leader, working with dozens of the largest brands in tech for the last 28 years. He has grown 20 companies to generate more than $4 billion in revenue and was named CEO of America by Chief Executive Magazine. His latest passion is making IoT a reality. Costello most recently served as the keynote at Cleantech 2016, where Enlighted took home the North American Company of the Year award.
