Explosion proof ultraviolet light has potential healthcare germicidal use

A new explosion proof ultraviolet light with outputs appropriate for use as germicidal control within the healthcare industry has recently been introduced to market.

A new explosion proof ultraviolet light with outputs appropriate for use as germicidal control within the healthcare industry has recently been introduced to market. 
 
The Larson Electronics EPL-48-2L-UV fixture is 4 feet long, weighs 65 pounds, and features aluminum construction, external sealed ballast, and heat and impact resistant Pyrex tubes to protect the fluorescent bulbs. The light is available in output wavelengths of Ultraviolet A 400nm - 315nm, Ultraviolet B 315nm - 280nm and Ultraviolet C 280nm - 100nm, commonly referred to as the germicidal range. 
 
The fixture is approved for Class 1 Division 1, Class 1 Division2, and Class 2 Division 1 and 2 locations, and operates with a standard 12-277 VAC current.
