Federal News Radio interview focuses on healthcare quality improvement through IT

Discussion offers practical ways to improve outcomes and reduce costs

A recent interview on Federal News Radio with Mary Nicholas, CEO, and Jim Moyer, director of survey quality at Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation (HQAA) discusses healthcare quality improvement through IT with tools provided in the cloud.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)  hasinstigated a set of best practices for quality control to reduce fraud and abuse. The practices were developed in 2008 and the CMS has given ten organizations — including HQAA -  "deeming" authority to approve organizations who comply with the detailed list of quality measures, according to Federal News Radio.
