Updated guidance has been published on the management and prevention of an emerging fungal pathogen in hospitals, according to an article on the Nursing Times website.

Public Health England (PHE) has issued updated guidance on tackling Candida auris for healthcare providers.

Unlike other pathogenic yeast species, PHE highlighted that C. auris appears to have a “propensity for transmission between hospital patients.”
