By Healthcare Facilities Today

RONKONKOMA, NY — Hastings Tile & Bath, importers and distributors of contemporary bathroom fixtures and furniture and the exclusive distributor of the iconic VOLA line of products announced that VOLA’s latest edition to their Round Series has been awarded the Interior Innovation Award 2014 – Bathroom and Wellness Category, from the German Design Council.

“VOLA is such an iconic name in our industry, and it’s because they continue to evolve technically while maintaining the very precise design aesthetic that they are known for,” said Bob Gifford, director of bath products at Hastings Tile & Bath. “Everyone at VOLA and here at Hastings is quite honored that the German Design Council judges recognized VOLA’s commitment.”

Celebrating 60 years and founded in 1953 by the German Federal Parliament, the German Design Council hosts an annual international award competition to find the very best in design. The jury consisted of a large number of experts from different fields including the business, science and design industry. “The aim of the German Design Award is to identify, present and honor unique design trends. A competition that advances the design scene.”

The Round Series is pure VOLA: sleek, minimal and uncluttered. As with all VOLA products, the Round Series Built-In Soap Dispenser complements other collections in the VOLA line. The dispenser met all the rigorous requirements of unique design judged by top companies and designers. Thus, the dispenser was awarded the highest accolade.
