The Healthcare Smart Water Leadership Summit, to be held June 6 -7 in Chicago, will now also be available via live streaming for those unable to attend in person.

The summit is an executive-level, invitation-only event hosted by Phigenics LLC, a leading water management services company. The purpose of the meeting is to gather experts to discuss how water management programs within healthcare facilities can achieve and maintain water safety while keeping costs low.

Speakers and guests will include leaders in healthcare facility management, infection prevention, environmental health and safety, microbiology, epidemiology and related fields within healthcare.

“(Assembling a water management team and preparing a water management plan) has been one of the smartest infection prevention and control strategies that we have ever implemented,” Dale Krageschmidt, Ph.D., CIH Mayo Clinic, said in a press release. “Taking a proactive approach to evaluate critical control points and make corrective actions as necessary will undoubtedly protect our patients and employees in the future. We are looking forward to sharing our story and hearing others at the Healthcare Smart Water Leadership Summit."

The summit will be held at the Gleacher Center, University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, but those unable to attend in person can register for live streaming coverage of all presentations and panel discussions.
