It’s likely that every project on healthcare facility design boards today will require plenty of attention for information technology (IT) and integration of all the systems, according to an article on the Healthcare Design website. The magazine recently spoke with Carl Fleming, principal advisor at healthcare IT consulting firm Impact Advisors. Fleming helps develop the technology groundwork that blends emerging systems with existing infrastructure to support the workflow at the healthcare facility. In the article, Fleming said that facilities designed in the next decade must combine efficiency with emerging technologies to create an environment that enhances the patient experience while accelerating employee productivity, increasing revenue and providing a safe environment.
