Hospitals Recognized for Sustainability, Resilience Achievements

The 496 healthcare organizations have demonstrated leadership in sustainability, environmental stewardship and climate resilience.

Sustainability and resilience have never been more critical for healthcare facilities, which are under mounting pressure to achieve goals related to lower greenhouse gas emissions, healthier indoor environments and better protection against the effects of climate change

Practice Greenhealth recently announced the recipients of the 2025 Environmental Excellence Awards, which recognize healthcare facilities that demonstrate leadership in sustainability, environmental stewardship and climate resilience. This year, 496 healthcare organizations are being recognized. 

Among them are the 2025 Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award recipients, which were honored for exemplary performance and innovation in sustainability. These organizations, which include urban academic medical centers and rural critical access facilities, were selected for their exceptional and holistic environmental programs. They are:
