Hospitals with the unhealthiest food options

A new report names the worst hospital food environments in the nation


A new report from the Physicians Committee named the worst hospital food environments in the nation, according to an article on the Becker's Hospital Review website.

Hospitals also earned points for meat-free options, gardens and farmers markets and lost points if they have contracts with fast food restaurants.

The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson comes in last place. The facility hosts both a Chick-fil-A and McDonald's.

The next 4 on the list are Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, the 

Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston, Brookings Hospital in South Dakota and University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
