Hurricane Harvey has forced the closure of Aransas Pass Care Regional Medical Center, severely damaging its roof, according to an article on the Healthcare Finance website.
The interior of the facility was also damaged and police say the hospital has been burglarized.
Aransas Pass is a designated critical access hospital serving Aransas Pass and surrounding areas.
Healthcare facility officials say they will start planning for dealing with the damage and rebuilding. The plan will depend on the availability of community services (water, electricity, plus debris removal).
