McLaren Port Huron plans $162 million expansion, renovation

Port Huron, Mich., healthcare facility campus will renovate about 100,000 square feet of existing patient floors with a redesign of most inpatient services


McLaren Port Huron inPort Huron, Mich., is planning a  $162 million expansion and renovation project, according to an article on the Healthcare Construction + Operations website.

The healthcare facility will renovate roughly about 100,000 square feet of existing patient floors with a redesign of most inpatient services. 

An additional 200,000 square feet will also be added to the facility.   A new four- or five-story patient tower and a 35,000-square-foot Karmanos Cancer Institute will be built.

The hospital’s existing east tower will be redesigned to have only private rooms. An upgraded, light-filled lobby, a renovated cafeteria and other amenities are also planned.
