N.Y. hospital energy update could reduce annual costs by $220,000

Auburn Community Hospital's update of its heating and air conditioning systems is expected to reduce annual energy costs by $220,000, according to an article on the CNY Central website.

The upgrade is expected to reduce the hospital's heating and air conditioning energy use by 50 percent .

It will also provide cooler conditions in the hospital's six operating rooms.

The hospital says that savings will be reinvested back into patient care.
