New accreditation program offered for small hospitals

Comprehensive accreditation program is customized for rural hospitals, critical access hospitals and small hospitals with less than 200 beds

The Accreditation Association for Hospitals/Health Systems Inc. (AAHHS) is offering a nationally recognized, comprehensive accreditation program customized for rural hospitals, critical access hospitals and small hospitals with less than 200 beds, according to an article on the FacilityCare website.

AAHHS physical environment specialist Doug Danenberger said that one of the biggest disconnects between smaller hospitals and their larger counterparts is the necessity for individuals to wear multiple hats.
