A new study has suggested that thousands of patients in the UK were probably infected with coronavirus in hospitals, according to an article on the BBC website.
The King's College London study of 10 UK and one Italian hospital found at least one in eight COVID patients had caught it on-site.
Researchers said that was a relatively low rate.
The majority of these patients had already been hospitalized for awhile with a pre-existing condition.
