Pa. health network drops food vendor Sodexo

St. Luke's University Health Network moves to local company

Pennsylvania- based St. Luke's University Health Network has dropped Sodexo as its food service provider, according to an article on The Morning Call website.

The health network has chosen Metz Culinary Management, based in Luzerne County, to handle such services as running the cafeteria.

St. Luke's employs about 200 food service workers, and they will keep their jobs. The nearly 200 Sodexo workers can apply for St. Luke’s jobs, it’s unclear how many will be able to stay with the network.

St. Luke’s farm-to-cafeteria program, a partnership with Rodale Institute by which a local farm at St. Luke’s Anderson campus supplies food to hospital cafeterias, will continue.
