Lancaster General Hospital gets third citation in a year after patient wandered across town


Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is creating a new executive position in response to safety violations at Lancaster General Hospital, according to an article on the Lancaster Online website.

The Lancaster hospital got its third citation in a year after a patient wandered across town.

The cognitively impaired patient wearing staff scrubs walked out of the hospital at night and was found across town at UPMC Pinnacle Lancaster.

The new position, Chief Operating and Integration Officer, will oversee all clinical operations.
