The Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society asked the ASC community to share changes in their infection control procedures during the pandemic and posted the results on LinkedIn
During the pandemic, facilities have improved their infection control procedures.
There have also been extra efforts in screening, sanitizing and adherence to guidelines
ASC’s have also had to deal with fatigue with masks and social distancing.
At the same time, they’re dealing with PPE shortages.
According to the Medical Express website, many facilities have started self-producing PPE and test materials and reprocessing respirators in the face of shortages.
