Health practices at a healthcare facility in Newburgh, N.Y., are being investigated after a patient was given a bloody wheelchair, according to an article on the News12 website.
The patient recorded a cellphone video of the wheelchair — which had blood on one of it's footrests — as she waited for help in the St. Luke's Hospital emergency department.
A hospital spokesperson said the wheelchair didn't meet its standards, but that as soon as they were made aware of the conditions the patient was moved.
Hospital administration say they are investigating the incident.
