Healthcare facilities aren't immune to bed bug infestations, in fact ore than a third of pest management companies reported treating a healthcare facility for bed bugs in 2014, according to an article on the McKnights website.

There are steps that can be taken both inside and outside a healthcare facility and while traveling to help handle any bed bug infestations.

The staff can be the first responders to any signs of bed bug activity. So, it is essential that they are trained on how to recognize the signs of a bed bug infestation and how to respond to any issues. 

Establishing a bed bug policy for your workers and guests that will encourage them to take preventive measures and report any possible infestations is also a good idea.
