QMotion fabric options provide energy savings

PENSACOLA, Florida – Window shades can be one of the simplest and most effective window treatments for saving energy. Through QMotion Advanced Shading Systems vast fabric offerings for Qadvanced Roller Shades and honeycomb shades, customers can achieve beauty in decoration and savings in energy efficiency.

For greater efficiency, QMotion offers dual shade bracket systems that allow installation of a combination of two shades on the same window. With the dual shade system, highly reflective fabrics can be utilized on one side and heat absorbing fabrics on the other.

In addition to the energy savings, QMotion offers numerous eco-friendly fabrics, such as Greenscreen Revive® and E Screen with KOOLBLACK™. The Greenscreen Revive fabrics consist of up to 89% recycled content and are offered in both 1% and 5% openness factor for light filtering and privacy. The KOOLBLACK fabrics incorporate reflective properties into dark color screen fabrics, which coupled with other benefits of dark colored fabrics, provide excellent contrast for a clear and sharp view and maximizes energy savings through reduced cooling costs.

“QMotion strives to offer the widest line of energy efficient fabrics that coordinate with almost any residential or commercial décor and provide energy savings through reduced heating and cooling costs,” said Gene Demestre, vice president of sales and marketing.

QMotion also offers a complete line of motorized honeycomb shades. Due to the cellular construction, honeycomb shades are known as the energy-efficient window covering, and with QMotion’s Qadvanced Honeycomb Shade collection you don’t have to sacrifice style to achieve energy savings.

QMotion’s Qadvanced Honeycomb Shades are among the most energy-efficient window coverings available. The insular property of honeycomb fabric is attributed to its unique cellular construction creating a barrier of chambers designed to reduce heat. Hot or cold air is trapped in the cells and gets released slowly so your cooling or heating system does not work hard to warm or cool the trapped air.

“Combining our eco-friendly fabrics with control accessories, such as our timer remote and Qconnect with home automation systems, can provide significant energy savings,” explained Demestre. “QMotion’s timer remote automatically recognizes sunrise and sunset based on your zip code to help ensure your shades are at their lowest when the sun is strongest.”
