Review cleaning procedures and improve whatever needs an upgrade


Patients are becoming more and more informed about the important issue of cleanliness when they visit a doctor's office and patients' concern about germs in the treatment environment should be the staff's responsibility, according to an article on the MultiBrief's website.

A facility can do a lot to reassure patients that the practice is safe and clean, by following proactive steps, including:

• Review cleaning procedures, and improve whatever needs an upgrade

• Question staff as to the cleaning procedures they are currently using between patients in order to see what is sufficient and what isn't

• Use a professional medical cleaning crew on a weekly basis
